A diverse church community sharing a warm conversation after a gathering

A partnership invitation for churches

Help Christian singles move from connection to covenant.

Betroth is a faith-first relationship platform being shaped to support intentional courtship—with clear boundaries, thoughtful reflection and optional pastoral accountability.

Faith-First. Covenant-Focused.

The ministry opportunity

Singles do not need another swipe app with a Christian label.

They need a better way to discern faith, character, readiness and life direction—before emotional overinvestment.

Betroth is designed as a relationship and marriage-preparation platform. Churches can support the journey without becoming matchmakers or gaining access to private conversations.

The problem we intend to solve

Finding a Christian partner is only the beginning.

Christian singles who are serious about marriage need ways to explore shared faith, character, readiness and life direction before becoming deeply invested. Betroth aims to make that discernment more intentional, with optional support from trusted community.

01 / Intention

Connection without commitment

Swipe-led dating can encourage quick judgments and repeated browsing, leaving marriage intentions unclear.

Our intended response: Meaningful profiles, clear intentions and guided introductions.

02 / Shared faith

A label cannot show alignment

Identifying as Christian does not, by itself, explain someone’s convictions, church life or vision for marriage.

Our intended response: Thoughtful faith preferences and explanations of shared priorities.

03 / Readiness

Important conversations come late

Character, finances, family expectations and emotional readiness can remain unexplored until attachment has grown.

Our intended response: Guided conversations and the proposed Covenant Readiness Index as a tool for reflection and growth.

04 / Community

Support needs clear boundaries

Churches may want to support singles without becoming matchmakers or accessing their private conversations.

Our intended response: Optional mentoring and church participation with specific, revocable consent.

These are the needs we intend to explore with singles and church partners during discovery. Proposed features and the readiness framework remain subject to pilot validation; they do not guarantee compatibility or marital outcomes.

01

Intentional by design

Curated recommendations, meaningful profiles and guided conversations replace endless swiping.

02

Faith made visible

Members can express convictions, church life and relationship priorities with nuance—not a single checkbox.

03

Accountability with consent

Optional church and mentor pathways are scoped, transparent, expiring and revocable.

04

Safety is foundational

Reporting, blocking, privacy controls, moderation and auditability belong in the first release.

A more thoughtful path

From introduction to informed discernment.

Betroth helps members slow down the right conversations—not outsource their decisions.

  1. 01

    Build a faith profile

Members describe their beliefs, church life, relationship intentions and future priorities.

  2. 02

    Reflect on readiness

The Covenant Readiness Index prompts honest reflection across five developmental domains.

  3. 03

    Receive explained introductions

Recommendations show areas of alignment and conversation—not a mysterious compatibility promise.

  4. 04

    Discern in community

Couples can choose guided prompts, mentors and premarital resources as trust develops.

Covenant Readiness Index

A mirror for growth.
Never a measure of worth.

The CRI is an early framework for reflection and explainable matching. Its weights and thresholds remain research hypotheses and will be tested before production use.

Pastoral clarity

What church partnership means—and what it does not.

Churches may choose to

  • Introduce the pilot to eligible members
  • Verify a limited membership fact with consent
  • Offer mentors and premarital resources
  • Shape theological and safeguarding standards

Betroth will not ask churches to

  • Act as matchmakers or guarantee outcomes
  • Read members’ private messages
  • Treat endorsement as blanket safety approval
  • Rank a person’s faith or spiritual worth

Founding church pilot

Help shape a healthier digital courtship culture.

We are preparing a Singapore-based discovery and pilot programme with a small group of churches. Founding partners will help test member needs, pastoral boundaries, safety practices and the usefulness of the readiness framework.

Questions church leaders ask

Clear answers before commitment.

Is Betroth already available to members?+

An Android APK is available on our app download page. It opens the Betroth web app and has not been device-tested in this review. iOS is coming soon. The founding church programme continues to support discovery and controlled pilot planning.

Does a church endorsement guarantee someone is safe or marriage-ready?+

No. Any future verification or endorsement must state exactly what was confirmed, when it expires and how it can be revoked. It cannot guarantee conduct, compatibility or marital outcomes.

Will churches see members’ assessment answers or messages?+

No by default. Sensitive assessment data and private communications should remain private unless a member gives specific, informed and revocable consent for a clearly stated purpose.

Is the CRI a theological test?+

No. It is a proposed developmental reflection framework. The current categories, questions, weights and matching thresholds require pastoral, psychological, privacy and user validation.
